Today we want to talk to you about something that we think is extremely important - certifications. We've already covered them in general terms at the start of this blog adventure, but this time we want to go into a little more detail about two types of certification that are associated with the creation and production of our garments.
First of all, we want to give you a bit of context about the importance of these certifications in our day-to-day work, as well as how they are reflected in the production and creation of each garment. In the first instance, we know that the task of contributing to a better planet has become increasingly demanding, especially with the textile industry, due to its high percentage of pollution. As a brand, we want this scenario to be increasingly distant and reduced, because we're talking about preserving the environment.
The certifications allow us to create and produce pieces that guarantee quality and care for the environment. The use of each raw material, the various treatment practices, the production techniques and all the procedures that bring each Wedoble piece into your homes are all designed to ensure that we continue on a positive and environmentally friendly path.
In this way, we want to guarantee responsible production, taking care of people and the planet. Today we can show you, through two certifications, why this guarantee is associated with our garments.
Each item is designed and produced with the utmost care. So the raw materials and accessories used in our garments are extremely important and are therefore selected according to the benefits they can offer to the little ones and also to the environment.
The selection of our accessories respects the ecological standards defined within the framework of the certifications applied to each material: the buttons and fabric labels used comply with the OEKO-TEX STANDARD, guaranteeing that they have been tested for the presence of harmful substances and that they are safe for the environment and for humans. It is also certified as proof of fulfilment of supply conditions. Products labelled STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX are synonymous with trust.
The second certificate is associated with the use of organic cotton in our garments. Organic cotton is a raw material that comes exclusively from controlled organic farming, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact on soils and humans caused by conventional production methods. This raw material is certified by independent organisations, following a set of rules that guide the entire process, from growing and harvesting to the production and processing of the cotton. Grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other types of chemical fertilisers, this natural fibre is simply the best choice for both the environment and human health.
We consider these two certifications to be the main ones, due to the large group of garments we present in our collections that are certified.
